Post-pandemic this year has blessed us with moments that became sensational that people just can’t seem to get over them. We’ve had quite a few moments that have kept us on the edge of our seats contemplating what did we just see? This one is personal and we are sorry Chris Rock! This slap was just not heard at the Oscars but around the world. The virality of the incident was immediate, with social media users taking the event and making numerous memes about it. This event had consequences for both the individuals involved. There are a few things that unite India and Pakistan, and one of them is music. Ali Sethi’s finest creation “Pasoori” got fans on both sides of the border vibing to its enchanting tune and visuals. The song, released on February 6 this year, became the most-watched Coke Studio video of all time and currently has 470+ million viewers and is still trending.
4. Bhuban Badyakar’s Kacha Badam
How can we not mention this trend? We have for once at least vibed to this tune over reels or shorts. Everyone from Rajkumar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar to Tanzanian brother-sister duo Kili Paul and Neema Paul have been seen grooving to Kacha Badam.
5. Brahmastra’s song “Kesariya” and its “Love Storiyan”
One of Bollywood’s finest creations this year was the song Kesariya from the movie Brahmastra. The song went viral after release but what went even more viral was the part “Love Storiyan” with a lot of people disliking this part of the song, it went viral and flooded the internet with memes.
