About Critics Choice Movie Awards
Formerly known as the Broadcast Film Critics Association Award, this accolade is presented annually by the American-Canadian Critics Choice Association to the best of films in a year. This award holds special importance as it is considered to be an indicator of success at the Oscars.
The semi-fictional, historical magnum opus helmed by SS Rajamouli, earlier known for his Baahubali series and Eega. Starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, the movie chronicles the lives of two real-life individuals who lived around the same time and fought against oppression.
The movie is receiving immense acclaim and praise for its scale, direction, and vision. Although the movie was never sent to the Academy by the Indian committee of the Oscars, it is one of the favourites to clinch a few awards and create history.
