An audio recording between Manjunath KS alias Santro Ravi and a senior police officer has made it to the news. The significance of this episode is the history of Santro Ravi and the mention of Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai in the call.
Santro Ravi, who is accused of sexual assault, extortion, and sex trafficking, stated that the Chief Minister of the state refers to him as ‘sir’. “Even the chief minister addresses me as ‘Sir’. You are just a deputy superintendent. ‘Sir’ is what should come out of your mouth.”

The audio call has been made viral by a police officer from Bengaluru rural region. Ravi is heard telling the officer to meet him at the government Kumarakruppa Guest House.
As the audio clip started going all around the state, pictures of Santro Ravi and ministers from Karnataka’s cabinet also started to make rounds on social media. One of the pictures also has Bharat Bommai, the son of the serving Chief Minister of the state.
The Opposition Attacks
JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy has asked the Chief Minister to order a probe to see the relations between the alleged criminal and the ministers in his cabinet. He also demanded the probe to know who provided Ravi access to the government guest house
The embarrassment continued to bother the ruling BJP government after JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy challenged the chief minister to order a probe into the alleged nexus between his Cabinet ministers and Santro Ravi.
