An Art Director from Kerala, Suni Babu passed away on January 5 because of a cardiac arrest. Several of his collaborators wrote notes and took to social media to express their grief for the 50-year-old technician.
Sunil Babu had predominantly worked in the Malayalam film industry. He was also famous for his works in the Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi Film industries. The likes of Dulquer Salmaan and Santosh Sivan took to social media to remember him.

Sunil Babu was associated with several renowned films. He started his career as an assistant for Sabu Cyril. He is known for his work in Bangalore Days, Urumi, Premam, Notebook, Chotta Mumbai, Kayamkulam Kochunni, MS Dhoni – An Untold Story, Ghajini, and Sita Ramam. The art director won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Art Director for his work in Ananthabhadram.
He was also the art director for Thalapathy Vijay’s next Varisu. The movie is set to release on January 11.

Fans and celebrities took to social media to express shock and grief at the passing away of the award-winning art director.
Actor Dulquer Salmaan shared a heartfelt note on his Instagram. The actor posted a picture of Sunil Babu and stated that he was heartbroken. “Heart hurts. The kindest, warmest soul who quietly went about his work with so much passion and made no noise about his immense talent. Suniletta thank you for the memories. You brought life to our films. Can’t come to terms with this. Praying for your family and all those who loved you dearly.” wrote Salmaan.
