After finishing his four-month-long yatra, Rahul Gandhi finally appeared in the Lok Sabha. While speaking in the President’s Address, the Wayanad MP shared the experience of his walk and also took a dig at the government on several issues.

In his 40-minute long address, Rahul Gandhi used a substantial portion of it to question the Narendra Modi-led government on the Adani Row. Besides talking about the Hindenburg report and its allegations against the business tycoon, Rahul Gandhi also drew parallels between the rise of Modi at the centre, and Adani in the business circle.

At one point, while talking about the relationship between the Prime Minister and Gautam Adani, Gandhi pulled out a few pictures of the two. Although the camera shifted elsewhere after sloganeering against the act of showing a poster began in the parliament, Gandhi was quick to show the two pictures to the house.

“How many times did Adani ji join you later on a visit? How many times did Adani ji travelled to a country immediately after you visited the country? How many times has Adani ji bagged a contract in a foreign country after your visit there?” Asked the Congress leader

In his speech, Rahul Gandhi highlighted the expansion of Adani’s business in different sectors. He also stressed the fact that the business tycoon did not have any experience in several of the sectors, and was still given multi-million dollar contracts, including that of Mumbai Airport.

Besides Adani, Rahul Gandhi also took a dig at Anil Ambani. Rahul Gandhi talked about the fact that a contract of 126 aircraft was given to a man with no experience in aviation. Post the allotment of the contract, Ambani even stood on the verge of bankruptcy.

“Yesterday the prime minister said at HAL that we hurled wrong allegations. But in reality, HAL’s contract of 126 aircraft went to Anil Ambani, who then went bankrupt.”

“There should be a case study by business schools such as Harvard on the relationship between business and politics, India is a case study…the PM should get a gold medal in this,” commented Gandhi.
