Today, Shahida Telgi finds herself in the spotlight once more, thanks to the silver screen, as her husband’s illicit exploits serve as the gripping narrative for an OTT thriller crafted by the acclaimed filmmaker Hansal Mehta. In this article, we delve into the intriguing life and journey of Shahida Telgi, who has unintentionally become a prominent figure in the annals of crime and cinema. 

Born and raised in the town of Khanpur, situated in Belgaum, Karnataka, Sana Telgi carries with her a unique and complex family history. She is the daughter of Shahida Telgi and Abdul Karim Telgi, two names deeply entwined with one of the most infamous counterfeit operations in India’s history. Court documents shed light on the challenges Shahida Telgi faced during her life, as she battled not only the legal consequences of her involvement but also health issues, including being an HIV sufferer, and several other medical conditions. 

Shahida Telgi, along with her husband and a few others, found herself ensnared in the legal web surrounding the multi-crore fake stamp paper case. Her journey through the legal system took a dramatic turn when she failed to appear in court on two occasions, eventually leading to her apprehension in the year 2005. This period marked a pivotal juncture in the Telgi family’s tumultuous saga within the corridors of justice.

Hansal Mehta returns with another compelling narrative following the success of his 2020 series, “Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story.” This time, he presents the spiritual sequel, “Scam 2003: The Telgi Story.” This biographical financial thriller, co-directed by Mehta and helmed by Tushar Hiranandani, draws its inspiration from Sanjay Singh’s book, ‘Telgi Scam: Reporter’s ki Diary.’ 

With notable supporting roles portrayed by Bharat Jadhav and Shaad Randhawa, “Scam 2003: The Telgi Story” is set to make its debut on SonyLIV on September 1, 2023. Building on the success of its predecessor, this series promises to unravel another gripping tale of financial deceit and intrigue.

As the highly anticipated OTT series approaches its release date, the creators have been building anticipation with a series of captivating promotional materials. Starring Gagan Dev Riar in the role of Abdul Karim Telgi, with Mukesh Tiwari and Sana Amin Sheikh in significant roles, the production has recently unveiled a new promo video that serves as a culmination of their teaser and trailer releases. 

This latest promotional clip not only unveils the official release date but also provides viewers with glimpses of pivotal episodes and the central characters that will shape the narrative. Adding to the intrigue, the familiar score from the Pratik Gandhi-starring film resonates in the background of this fresh teaser, promising an action-packed and engaging viewing experience for audiences.
