At Least 142 people died in the Morbi Bridge Tragedy, in Gujarat. As the investigation and rescue operation continues in full swing, there are several videos and pictures from the location which have stirred the nation.
The 150 – year old bridge collapsed, days after it was open to the public. The bridge was crowded due to a large number of visitors and people who had gathered to celebrate Chhath Puja.
Meanwhile, an old video from the site is making rounds on social media, as several leaders, news outlets, and influencers have shared it.
The claim
An old video going viral from the same bridge shows hundreds of people stranded on the bridge, while some even try to kick the suspension bridge. A claim is being made that the video was shot right before the mishap

The reality
As soon as the fake video started going viral, several handles dismissed it by stating that the video is an old one and was not taken before the mishap. A new video resurfaced, which not only shows the bridge swinging around but also shows the fall. There are visible differences between the video shown before and the authentic one, as there is no green vegetation around the river, as was shown in the older video.
The number of people in the two videos also differs, as the first one seems much more crowded.
