Netizens have claimed that the couple, who tied the knot in December 2020 are all set to separate. A fake account of ANI stated that cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and YouTuber Dhanashree Verma filed for divorce in a Punjab Court.
However, clarifying the authenticity of the report, ANI’s original social media handle reported, “Please note: All three are fake accounts impersonating ANI. No such news has been flashed.”
However, this did not stop the Twitteratis from commenting on the couple’s marriage. Speculations were on among social media users ever since Dhanashree dropped ‘Chahal’ from her surname . This was followed by Yuzvendra’s Twitter post that read”New Life Loading….”.

The duo had dated each other for some time before their marriage. They reportedly met on Instagram. Dhanashree had also traveled to the UAE along with Chahal when he was a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) contingent. The couple was also together in Australia where Chahal was a part of the limited-overs squad.
Chahal had surprised everyone by announcing his engagement with Dhanashree on social media. Apart from being a choreographer, Dhanashree is also a doctor and YouTuber.
The couple had a luxurious wedding in Gurugram. Sharing the first pictures from the D-day, Yuzvendra had written, “We started at “Once upon a time” and found “Our happily ever after,” coz’ finally, #DhanaSaidYuz for infinity & beyond!”
That is why netizens were saddened and broken by hearing the ‘fake’ news(which did sound quite real, obviously!). A section of users also claimed that Shreyas Iyer was to blame for what’s “happening between the couple”. However, the cricketer finally cleared the air, as he posted a message where he requested fans to not believe in such rumors and also urged them to put an end to it.
