There are several alternatives for valid ID cards, such as a passport, driving license, service identity cards, passbooks with a photograph issued by a bank or post office, PAN card, smart card issued by RGI under NPR, MNREGA job card, health insurance smart card issued under the scheme of Ministry of Labour, pension document with photograph, authenticated photo voter slip issued by the booth level officer, official identity cards issued to MPs/MLAs/MLCs, and Aadhar card. For overseas voters, the Election Commission has directed that they must produce their original passport for identification.
