After the success of Vijay’s Varisu, the fans are expecting an update on his next, much-awaited venture, Thalapathy 67. The yet untitled project is directed by Lokesh Kanagraj and the movie will be a part of the ‘Lokesh Kanagaraj Universe’.
The movie is expected to be a gangster drama with high-octane action sequences. Besides Thalapathy Vijay, the movie will also star Trisha as the female protagonist. The duo will be seen together after 14 years. Hindi film actor Sanjay Dutt will be playing the antagonist in the movie.

The casting of the movie has been speculation for the audiences but there is no official confirmation as of yet. However, there is another casting choice in the movie, which has got everyone talking about it. Reports suggest that Kannada star Rakshit has been approached for a key role in the Lokesh Kanagaraj movie.

Sources state that the team has reached out to the Kannada actor, although nothing has been finalised, as of yet. The inclusion of the 777 Charlie star will be an effort of making the movie grander, as it might fetch the movie huge returns from the state of Karnataka.

Reports suggest that Thalapathy Vijay will be seen playing the role of an aged family man in the movie. Given the nature of the LCU, the movie will have drugs and politics as its main elements. The movie will also have cameos from the other characters of the movie. Besides the new actors, the fans are also expecting to see Kamal Haasan, and perhaps even Rolex (Suriya) for a few seconds.
