India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant on Friday sustained injuries after his car collided with the divider and caught fire while he was traveling from Delhi to Uttarakhand. He was driving his Mercedes car, which met with an accident near Roorkee in Uttarakhand. After the popular cricketer got injured in the road accident, Bollywood celebrities and cricketers took to Twitter and wished him a speedy recovery.
Ace Cricketer turned politician Gautam Gambhir said “Wishing a very speedy & full recovery to Rishabh! Take care.” “Sending all my love and well wishes @RishabhPant17. Praying for a speedy and successful recovery,” India batter KL Rahul tweeted.
“Praying for Rishabh and wishing for his speedy recovery. Get well soon brother,” India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja posted a tweet. Former Australian Cricketer Ricky Ponting said “Thinking of @RishabhPant17. Hope you’re on the mend and back on your feet soon.”
“He himself was driving the car when it hit the divider on Delhi Narson border. He was immediately taken to Saksham Hospital but will be shifted to Max Hospital for further treatment,” the according to the report of a media portal.
Since the reports of the accident got confirmed, several media houses started posting pictures of the accident site and an injured Rishabh Pant. Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh was disgusted by the media’s behavior and took to her Instagram story to condemn media houses and asked them to stop sharing the images and videos. “Shame on you for posting images and videos of someone who’s hurt and unable to decide whether or not they want that out there. They have family and friends who were terribly affected by these images. There’s journalism and then there is plain insensitivity,” Ritika wrote.
Reports suggest that Pant is stable and will undergo treatment for multiple injuries. The 25-year-old was last seen in action during India’s recently concluded two-match Test series against Bangladesh. He had impressed with knocks of 46 and 93 in the first and second Test, respectively.
