The recently released Rajinikanth flick Jailer contains luminaries from every film sector in cameo roles, making for a superb ensemble. While Rajinikanth plays the title character of Muthuvel Pandian, a jailer, the movie also has brief cameo appearances by Jackie Shroff, Shivraj Kumar, and Mohanlal.
Filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar, who directed Jailer, revealed recently in an interview that he had the idea to cast Nandamuri Balakrishna, the veteran Telugu actor in Jailer.
In an interview with Viketan, while speaking about casting actors from different industries, Nelson said, “I had wanted to use Balakrishna sir from Telugu and even tried to incorporate a few scenes. But I could not spin it well. I am not sure if would have accepted or not had I had the scope to cast him as well. “

When asked what role Balakrishna would have been approached for, Nelson said, “I had a deadly, attacking cop role in mind. But I could not flesh out the arc well enough and thought it might not be as powerful as he deserves. So we had dropped it.”
Fans of Balayya are imagining how great it would have been if Nandamuri Balakrishna had accepted the proposed role. Indeed, it is true; nevertheless, if Nandamuri Balakrishna had appeared on screen in addition to Shivaraj Kumar, Mohanlal, and Anirudh Ravichander, the effect would have reached a whole new level.
Jailer is a dark comedy action drama. Varman, played by Vinayakan, an idol smuggler, and Muthuvel Pandian engage in a cat-and-mouse game throughout the movie. Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Tamannaah, and Yogi Babu are among the other actors in the film.
