Ratan Tata Receives Highest Civilian Award In Australia For Strengthening India-Australia Relations

Indian business magnate Ratan Tata has been awarded the highest civilian award in Australia for his significant contributions in boosting the relations between India and Australia. Tata, the former chairman of the Tata Group of companies, was bestowed with the Order of Australia (AO) for his outstanding contributions in the fields of business, trade, and philanthropy.

Tata has previously been honoured with the second and third highest civilian honours awarded by the Government of India for his exceptional business acumen and philanthropic work. Australia’s High Commissioner to India, Barry ‘O’ Farewell, shared pictures from the ceremony and praised Tata for his contributions to various business avenues.

In a tweet, the High Commissioner lauded Tata’s extensive efforts in strengthening the ties between India and Australia, saying, “Ratan Tata is a titan of biz, industry, and philanthropy not just in India, but his contributions have also made a significant impact in Australia.” The Australian High Commissioner expressed his delight in conferring the AO honour to Tata, acknowledging his longstanding commitment to the Australian and Indian relationship.
