Shabbir allegedly “met” with the Prime Suspect in Bellary District, CCTV cameras confirm this. This comes as a breakthrough after the NIA tracked down the Prime Suspects’ whereabouts to be taking a bus towards Gokarna on the 1st of March.

Days after the National Investigation Agency released two CCTV clips of the suspect in the Bengaluru Rameshwaram Cafe blast case, it detained a person who allegedly interacted with him in Ballari.
The individual, identified as Shabbir, was apprehended in Ballari, Karnataka. The blast at Rameshwaram cafe in Whitefield on March 1 left at least nine injured. Following an order from MHA, NIA took over the case last week. The agency has released several visuals of the suspect’s bus travels in recent days.

The suspect was last spotted on March 1 at the Ballari bus stand, nearly eight hours after the blast, according to investigations. On March 6, five days after the blast, the NIA took four people from a Ballari-based “ISIS module” into custody, according to NIA records available in the public domain.
