Mumbai Gets Its First Green Bus Stop

Earlier this month, Maharashtra Tourism Minister Aditya Thackeray had inaugurated revamped bus stops in the constituency of Worli. He took to Twitter to share the pictures of the revamped bus stops. In his tweet, one can see the innovative bus stop at the famous studio with the backdrop of the Mahalaxmi Racecourse. He could be seen declaring that the city and suburban Mumbai will get such bus stops at another 105 locations.

Moreover, the famous industrialist, Anand Mahindra, could also be seen sharing a video of the revamped bus stop. The green bus stop has a roof garden to cool the commuters who are waiting for the bus. Additionally, the bus stop has exercise equipment so that the commuters can use it instead of standing ideally. The featured video shows the visuals from ‘Famous Studio’ of the city’s Mahalaxmi area. The ambitious green project aims to have an additional 105 units across Mumbai with cool green tops and an exercise bar.

Anand Mahindra could also be seen appreciating Aditya Thackeray and BMC Chief Iqbal Singh Chalal’s efforts to revamp the city bus infrastructure in a green way. Aditya Thackeray thanked the industrialist and stated that Mumbai will be increasing its AC electric fleet while ensuring that the bus stops get better for all the citizens.
