Netizens have voiced their discontent with the restrictions that seem to be in place due to PM Modi’s roadshow. From a ban on assembling at balconies to blocking access to homes and businesses, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 26km tour in the Bengaluru South Lok Sabha seat on Saturday.
The 6km roadshow in Bengaluru Central was postponed to Sunday due to NEET, scheduled for that day. In order to prevent trees from obstructing the prime minister’s election campaign van, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike authorities are pruning them in areas like Basavanagudi and Indiranagar, where Modi’s roadshow would pass on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
It has been ordered for the Puttenahalli police in Bengaluru South to forbid people from viewing the rally from their balconies and terraces. The limits have been termed “draconian” in a letter to police that has gone viral on social media. Additionally, it instructs the police to block off building entrances and exits to stop unauthorised individuals from entering the property.
Bengalureans likely to have a tough time as Prime Minister holds a mega roadshow in the city on Saturday and Sunday. Police instructions – Traffic to be stopped from 6AM, no standing on the balcony. Here are some Twitter reactions to Modi’s roadshow:
BJP MP Tejasvi Surya wanted people of Bengaluru to bless PM Modi when he visits Bengaluru for election rallies.

It appears that PM Modi’s road show in Bengaluru today not only inconvenienced the people but it drew a lukewarm response. Tomorrow's tamasha reduced to 6.5 kms now.
Writing on the wall is very, very clear. Come May 10th, 40% Bhrashtasura Dahana is Guaranteed!

They have been made to believe that it is the love of people of Bengaluru, which is raining from the skies in the form of flowers on VishwaGuru.
Little do they know that it is all party machinery & high-tech special effects.
God, bestow your mercy on Bhakts.

Today, a ‘VISUAL SCAM’ happened during PM Modi’s roadshow in Bengaluru
The crowd was mostly made up of BJP workers/sympathisers and was in reality much lesser than what BJP claims.
Watch this video carefully and see how the BJP manipulates visuals to give an appearance of… pic.twitter.com/9AJJK2sRyd

Modi's Road Show in Bengaluru is very literal in that sense. They Show only Modi & Road
(with 50 people running on both sides acting as a crowd)

Just a reminder, Karnataka High Court didn't allow Queer people in Bengaluru to conduct a small march on a Sunday citing it will cause traffic. Same court is now allowing PM Modi to conduct 40km road show with 35 roads closed down. The unfair world we live in. #BJPFailsKarnataka pic.twitter.com/JsFsP6JkkX
