Manish Wadhwa: From Theatre To Silver Screen


Manish Wadhwa, an actor who has been making waves in the world of Bollywood lately, from starting in theatre to becoming a star on TV and in movies, he’s shown his talent in various roles but has sparked popularity for playing bad guys in movies.


Who is Manish Wadhwa?

Born in Haryana in 1972, Manish Wadhwa discovered his passion for acting during his college days in Mumbai. He took his first steps into the world of acting by participating in a comedy show titled ‘Khatta Meetha.’ This experience ignited his desire to become an actor. Although his debut movie ‘Rahul’ didn’t garner much attention, he found fame and recognition through his television appearances.

The Roles He’s Played

TV Star: Manish became known for playing Ajatashatru in the show ‘Aamarpali.’ People liked his acting. He then started acting in shows where he played characters from history and mythology, like Chanakya and Ravan. People really liked his acting in these roles.

Movies: Manish acted in some movies like ‘Bose,’ ‘Padmaavat,’ and ‘Manikarnika.’ But he became really famous for playing General Qadir in the movie ‘Pathaan.’

Gadar 2 

Manish got a big chance to act in ‘Gadar 2’ because a fight expert named Ravi Verma suggested him. The director, Anil Sharma, wanted an actor to play a strong villain, like Amrish Puri did in the first part of the movie. Manish said he’d give it his best, and he got the role. This success means he might play more villain roles in the future.
