The postmortem results of the Class 12 student who allegedly committed suicide on Wednesday morning showed symptoms of a haemorrhage and shock as a result of the numerous injuries she endured. Relatives declared the chemical analysis report to be bogus while the final ruling on the report is still pending.
The deceased’s family claimed that teachers and administrators at the school tortured and killed R Srimathi, a 17-year-old from the Cuddalore village Periyanesalur. On Saturday night, they stepped up their protest in front of the Kallakurichi GH, refused to take the body, and carried it on to Four Roads Junction.
R Srimathi, a 17-year-old student from Periyanesalur hamlet in the Cuddalore district, attended a private school in Kaniyamur, close to Chinnasalem. teachers, then detained them.
As per the kin’s demand, the autopsy was performed on Thursday evening in front of a small group of family members.
The report said, “While the right ribs were fractured, the left are found intact. Dark red abrasions are seen in different places of her body, and lacerations on left parietal region of the scalp.” It added, All abrasions are red in colour, injuries are ante-mortem and the time of death was 36 -48 hours prior to the post-mortem
“While the school administration has been vehemently denying any involvement in her death, social media has been rife with many theories ever since the release of her autopsy.
As reported by Newsbricks, there have reportedly also been allegations that the student was sexually assaulted by the school administration. A few videos, whose authenticity is yet to be confirmed, were released on social media even showed condom packets found in the principal’s office while they were ransacking it during the protests.
