Fact Check: Aftab Amin Poonawala Is A Muslim
While speculations on Twitter went deranged, Aftab’s Instagram profile reveals that he is indeed a Muslim. “I am a Muslim, and the other tern you’re is Hindu. Lord Krishna is the God of Hindus. May I ask why the certain inquisitiveness about my religion?” he wrote in one of the comments.
Furthermore, the victim’s father reported to the police, “My daughter had told my wife in 2019 that she was in a live-in relationship with Aftab Amin Poonawala. Me and my wife did not agree to this because the guy was a Muslim and inter-caste/inter-religion marriage was not accepted in our social circle…,” concluding that the alleged killer is a Muslim man.
Therefore, any claims of him being Parsi or Hindu on social media are false.
