Following the claims made by Ashoke Pandit, the co-producer of ’72 Hoorain’, stating that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) refused to grant them a censorship certificate for the movie trailer, the board has now released an official statement regarding the matter.

72 Hoorain, another controversial film just like “The Kerala story” and “The Kashmir Files”.

The movie focuses on how leaders of different terrorist organizations manipulate young Muslim teenagers. It shows a group of people called ‘Fidayeens’ who have strong faith go on a dangerous journey to reach a heavenly place with the goal of meeting the 72 Virgins also known as the Hoorain.

According to recent claims circulating in certain media outlets, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has released an official statement defending its position. The film ‘Bahattar Hoorain (72 Hoorain)’ was indeed granted an ‘A’ certification on October 4, 2019. Currently the teaser has caused controversy and people are expecting a strong reaction. However, the trailer of the film underwent the evaluation process as per the guidelines outlined in Section 5B(2) of the Cinematograph Act, 1952. After which CBFC posted an official announcement denying the claims

’72 Hoorain’ has already faced its share of criticism, sparking anger among certain individuals. There are calls for a ban on the film due to concerns about it promoting negative ideas about Islam. Recent leaks suggest that the movie is set to release in theaters on July 7, 2023.The trailer received great responses from the viewers which prompted the makers to release the teaser in ten different languages.
