A 24-year-old woman was tragically killed by her boyfriend just hours after celebrating her birthday. The incident occurred on April 14 in the Laggere area of Bengaluru city, India.
The victim, identified as Navya, and her boyfriend, Prashanth, both hailed from the Kanakpura region of Bengaluru and had been in a relationship for the past six years. Navya’s birthday was on April 11, but due to unforeseen circumstances, Prashanth was unable to meet her on that day. To make up for it, he had planned a day-long celebration with her on Friday.

However, following the celebrations on Friday night, an argument broke out between the couple, leading Prashanth to kill his girlfriend. The exact cause of the argument is unknown, but it is reported that Prashanth was enraged and saddened by the continuous texting of another man whom he suspected was in a relationship with Navya.
After the incident, Prashanth was arrested by the police and an FIR was registered against him at the Rajagopalnagar police station. The victim’s body was sent to Victoria Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
